LOWER TAXES & REDUCE SPENDING

LOWER TAXES AND REDUCE SPENDING

Both republicans and independent voters agree that the Colorado state government spends too much and taxes its citizens too heavily. The problem isn’t revenue — it’s spending. Our plan is to reduce government spending by streamlining state offices and eliminating unnecessary agencies. Colorado has more than 200 state agencies employing over 6,000 government workers, yet citizens routinely experience inefficiency and frustration — especially at places like the Department of Motor Vehicles. Coloradans deserve a government that works for them, not against them. By reducing fraud, waste, and abuse, we can return real savings to taxpayers. Other states have successfully eliminated their state income tax. Colorado should be able to do the same. Rising property taxes are making homeownership unattainable for young families and devastating for seniors on fixed incomes. Excessive taxes are driving families and businesses out of our state, weakening our economy and our communities. It’s time to restore fiscal discipline and respect for taxpayers.
